Our Roots

Scott A. Mayer, Executive Chair of the Board, launched QPS Employment Group in 1985 from a one-room office in the Milwaukee suburb of Hales Corners. Under Scott's leadership, QPS has grown from one office and two employees to 50+ branches across nine states. With an internal staff of over 300 and an Associate Employee roster that numbers in the thousands, QPS is today one of the largest independently owned staffing firms in the region.

Scott is a past President of the Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services and is a Board Member of both the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce.

Dan McNulty has been involved with QPS since its earliest years, and has helped shepherd its growth from just 8 internal employees to more than 375. Under Dan’s direction, QPS grew to over 50 locations and increased the number of Associate Employees from 90 to over 7,000 per week. He was active in the staffing industry as an Industry Information Committee Member of the American Staffing Association, as well as a member of both Staffing CEO's and the Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services.

Dan retired from QPS Employment Group in June of 2023. 

Until his sudden passing in April 2018, Mark Immekus was an integral part of the QPS team since shortly after the company was founded in 1985. Under his leadership, the dedicated and hard-working QPS sales team consistently grew year-over-year revenues, and played a critical role in expanding the QPS regional footprint. Mark was an active member in the Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services (WASS), the American Staffing Association (ASA), and the Visus President's Roundtable. The legacy that he leaves behind can be felt company-wide.
