Challenge
High turnover rate at the client company.
Solution
Implemented an employee engagement program.
Narrative
A manufacturer in Milwaukee, WI collaborated with QPS Employment Group on ways to help decrease turnover.
The company was cycling through over 2000 candidates annually, averaging 39 new employees every single week. This constant turn was negatively impacting both their workplace culture and production.
QPS began performing check-ins for all new employees. We developed detailed onboarding materials, and we communicated with our associates via phone, text and email to ensure preparedness on their first day. Throughout their first week, we made daily touch points with associates to provide support and answer questions. We ran exit interviews and focus groups to share with the customer why our employees were not engaged on their assignment.
Employee recognition campaigns were started, acknowledging high performers with gift cards and thank you notes. Weekly meetings were scheduled with the customer to keep them aware of business updates and current trends.
As a result of the changes, the client saw a 40% decrease in employee turnover.
