The Skilled Workforce Specialist Program is a development program for select QPS recruiters and sales executives that builds deep expertise in high‑demand skilled talent markets. Through structured exposure, field practice, and applied learning, participants build the specialized knowledge and consultative capabilities required to deliver differentiated value to candidates and clients. This internal certification shows disciplined mastery in a complex, competitive workforce.

Structure

Participants complete 80 hours of assignments over the course of six weeks. Activities are categorized by competency: 

  • Role & Work – describe a day-in-the-life, how the work is performed, common failure modes, and what “good” looks like—grounded in standards and tools used in the role.
  • Candidate Market – articulate the supply, demand, and pay dynamics by region; compare candidate profiles; and observe real hiring signals at play.
  • Industry Trends – brief a client on what’s changing, the skills that will matter, why certain roles are in high demand, and how this shifts recruiting/screening criteria.
  • Staffing & Competitor Analysis – position QPS against national and regional competitors, explain rate structures, and translate win/loss patters into front-end behavior changes.

GOALS

As a result of the successful completion of this program, participants will:

  • Build fluency in the tasks, tools, systems, and competencies associated with the role.
  • Develop functional understanding of the candidate/talent marketplace.
  • Understand macro level industry and labor trends shaping supply and demand for relevant skills.
  • Interpret the staffing competitive landscape within this segment and articulate a compelling specialization value proposition.
