Brookfield Wisconsin-based QPS Employment Group, a staffing and recruiting firm, has acquired American Staffing, a recruiting firm based in Maryland Heights, Missouri. American Staffing focuses on industrial and direct hire staffing.
QPS will be taking over American Staffing’s locations in Maryland Heights and St. Peters. The company was acquired from owner Stacy Peterson.
All associate employees of American Staffing who are currently working on assignment at local companies will be retained and moved to QPS’ payroll. The company’s name will be discontinued, as its operations and internal staff will be integrated into QPS’ organization.
“One of our growth strategies has been to acquire other well-run staffing firms and in getting to know Stacy, American Staffing looked to be a great fit for us,” states Ryan Festerling, QPS’ president and chief executive officer. “Our goal has been to increase our presence both in current geographies, as well as new territories across the country.”
According to Festerling, “With the acquisition of American Staffing, we are excited about adding to our already-established presence in Missouri. We look forward to partnering with our new customers in these locations and helping solve their employment and business challenges while filling their light industrial, clerical, skilled and professional staffing needs. These new locations, combined with our experience in each of those disciplines, really made sense for our long-term growth strategy.”
This is QPS’ tenth acquisition since 2006 and third in the past five years. Terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
