In 1985, QPS Employment Group started in the basement of a small home in southern Wisconsin. It began as a three-person team with one mission: connect talented people with meaningful work.
Forty years later, QPS has grown into one of the largest staffing firms in the country. In 2025, we proudly celebrate four decades of helping businesses grow and people thrive.
The “$40 for 40” Pay It Forward Program
To honor our 40th anniversary, QPS launched the “$40 for 40” initiative. Every employee-owner received $40 to give to someone in need. No rules. No expectations. Just a chance to make a difference.
Kindness spread quickly. Stories poured in from every branch and department—proof that even small gestures can make a big impact.
- One employee helped a candidate who was recently homeless by providing gas money so they could reach a shelter and a job interview.
- Another team supported an associate employee grieving the loss of a parent by covering the cost of a haircut before the funeral.
- A group pooled their $40 donations to help a single mother in crisis buy diapers, medication, and gas, reminding her she wasn’t alone.
- A recruiter used their funds to help a diabetic candidate purchase life-saving medication.
- A random act of kindness at a gas station brought unexpected relief to a woman whose car had broken down hours from home.
- A maintenance worker was surprised with a thank-you gift for his daily dedication.
- Another employee chose to support a local animal shelter by purchasing supplies and treating the staff to coffee.
- And one person gave their $40 to a waste collector who had gone above and beyond, taking garbage bins to the curb for neighbors on a freezing day.
Each gesture may have been simple, but the act was powerful. The $40 for 40 initiative created a ripple effect, one act of generosity inspiring another, and reminding everyone that compassion is a core part of the QPS culture.
