In recognition of National Skilled Trades Day, QPS Employment Group is hosting a Milwaukee‑area Hiring Event on Wednesday, May 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the QPS West Allis office. The event will bring together job seekers, training opportunities, and community connections, all in one place.
The hiring event will feature immediate opportunities in both skilled trades and general labor roles, along with professional development sessions led by QPS’s Learning & Development team. Attendees are encouraged to stop in anytime throughout the day. Resumes are encouraged but not required.

Free Learning & Development Sessions
These sessions are open to all attendees, including those who want to sharpen their skills before entering the job market. Training sessions will be held throughout the day:
- 12:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. – Interviewing Like a Skilled Trades Professional
Learn how to demonstrate professional judgment, safety awareness, reliability, and decision‑making—qualities that matter most in skilled trades hiring. - 1:00 p.m. – Put Your Energy Where It Counts
A practical session on focusing effort where candidates have real influence: preparation, communication, presentation, and mindset. - 4:00 p.m. – Starting Safe in Manufacturing
Covers essential safety fundamentals every new manufacturing employee should know.
Individuals interested only in attending training sessions are welcome to join.
Food & Community
To round out the day, QPS will be grilling in the afternoon. Applicants, clients, and community partners are invited to stop by, enjoy lunch, and connect with the QPS team.
